Let's enjoy the fall colors...
A regular occurance, slowing for an Amish buggy.
I live in the heart of an Amish community. They don't like their picture taken you know...
Let's keep driving
Okay, maybe we'll stop and observe some...
Back home again...
That's A's playpin (sans A) out under the trees,
she loves to be out in the great middle of everything, when we work/play in the yard.
I feel so blessed for the opportunity to see a north eastern fall -WOW! is all I can think of to say at the moment...
Okay, maybe not all I've got to say. I fell in love with fall back home (in Oklahoma), because it's the start of so many great things...football season, decorating, kicking of the holidays, wool sock weather (even if we do hit an 80 degree day in December)... but I'm not sure I even knew what "Fall Foliage" was until I moved here lol.
It's beautiful!
I take the kids on drives every day, in the morning and again after school, just so I can stay out in it longer. We spend our Sunday drives out observing, too.
Growing up, I never would have imagined my road leading to Pennsylvania???
(btw, that's not an insult to all my PA pals who read this)
But I'm taken with it's beauty.
Okay okay, and I know I never got to the rest of our family trip...we hit Harpers Ferry, Gettysburg and then my entire family made it all the way up to my place, here, and got to see our world. Yet another blessing that I never saw coming, but will never forget. Good times...
ps none of the photos are shopped. All true to color.

coty, the pics are even more beautiful the second time around. i just love all the long tree lined roads and beautiful fields. you know i was home this weekend, but the colors aren't quite there yet, as they are up in your territory. i'm excited for peak which should be in a couple weeks. i agree though, there's nowhere quite like PA in the fall (to me anyway...but i'm partial). next weekend is the fall foliage festival...YIPPEEEE!!! i'll write later after i get a handle on my house and tell you all about the weekend. love ya
Coty,
I love seeing all your pics! I am so jealous of your PA fall! Here in Utah we are still in the 90's and have a lot of green trees still. You have a beautiful family!
Ah - soooo jealous. I would be afraid of getting in a car wreck due to staring out the window at all the beauty. I could just see it now, explaining to the officer that this little gal from Oklahoma didn't really believe that trees could turn that many colors!
GORGEOUS!! You children, the colors, everything!!! I can't wait for fall to hit with color here...people say we're a bit behind ya'll up there. What a wonderful example you are to your children about appreciating the Lord's handiwork. LOVE IT!
This makes me miss home so much! How did you guys like good old shepherdstown? I miss that place so much.
I miss home too. It's 103 here today and no signs of fall anywhere. I've been wearing nothing but shorts since March or April. It's time for a break and I lOVE all the colors back home.
Ooo, so lovely! I can't wait for the colors to come out here, although they're nothing like the north east. I'm just relived that it's *finally* starting to cool off a bit.
BEAUTIFUL!
I was completely mesmerized by the pictures. Seriously. Thank you so much for posting!! :) I wish so badly we lived closer so we could all get together and sit outside and enjoy the beauty. Sighhh.
Also, thanks for the layout info! Swing by my page when you get a chance and check out my new look :) Oh, and this being OU vs Texas weekend, I plan on taking many pictures and a building a post out of the weekend...stay tuned! ;)
Hey, I know that blanket! Coty, you are a girl after my own heart - I love fall, too. Never knew what it was growing up in FL, but now that I've had a taste of it - it's my favorite season for all the reasons you mentioned above. AND, I'm going to be in your neck of the woods in just a few days (chose that week for just the reason you created this post - the beautiful views!) and you have really gotten me excited for all I'm going to see - Can't wait! Miss you!
that is just beautiful! I really miss the fall colors! Hopefully I will make it out east one day in my lifetime:) I have always wanted to go...we are still in the 90's here, but it did rain yesterday and that was WONDERFUL!!!
