Morning of the first day of 1st Grade and Kindergarten...
It was 50 degrees out, so we dressed in layers.
Seriously, how cute are they in their flannel and chucks?
I love that their moods shine through in the photo below...
Sam = eager and happy as a clam. Leif = too cool for school.
at their school...
See ya, Mom.
Leif raced through the doors and off to class without a second glance back at me. But Sammy stopped, smiled, and yelled "GOOD-BYE MOM" at the top of his lungs; I can always count on him to remember me.
However, a teacher that was on duty when I dropped the boys off, was kind enough to come out to my car (while I was loading Adeline and Rhoane) and report that " Leif ran all the way back down the hall and asked me, "Do you know where my Mom went?" when I told him you had already left, he replied with a very disappointed "Awwwwe, okay then" and slunked back to class ". Atleast he gave me an afterthought, right ;)
The first day went GREAT!
Now, lets just see how they feel about it over the next 9 months ;)

Love the first day back look! They are so sweet!!
They are adorable! Nathan wouldn't let me pick out anything nice for him to wear - he just wanted to wear his usual t-shirt and basketball shorts. I love the "drop off story" - they love their mama. You also look cute by the way - love your new haircut.
Ahh, two off in two years. That's got to pull on the heart strings a bit. Just wait till you are sending the second one on a mission while the first one is still out. Those are the days I don't like to think about.
Oh yay - you're boys are growing up so fast. And can I just say I'm super jealous of their prefect, flawless skin. Seriously? It should be a crime to have beautiful skin like that... of course, they get it from their momma.
What cute little heart
breakers! Where did the summer go? I have been so behind on blogs, but I always love reading about your family! I love the garden idea...maybe I will have to do that so I can actually manage it...mine got totally out of control this summer. Little Adeline is just the cutest and I cannot believe how big she is already getting! It must be a little sister thing because my boys are all over their little sister:) We too visited Oklahoma for 4 weeks! We had a great time and I hope that someday we will make back there to stay! Have fun at the soccer games and enjoy those little ones at home! You are such a great mom:)
I don't know how your boys manage too look so cute and so cool all at the same time. Must come by it from their momma ;)
So cute! I hope the other 9 months are awesome for them and you! Enjoy it, it goes by way too fast. Mine are in 7th and 4th grade this year. Looking at your little kiddos made me think about when they were that little. I love that Leif ran back looking for you, and that the teacher came to tell you. What a great teacher! Loved your post!
