on caving...

so i caved. on what you ask? ..the cheesy, dime-a-dozen spooky halloween character shirts. my kids love halloween, they really do [take after their mother]. so naturally, i had to give in. plus, these light up... just too dang cool to pass up right? hey, you're only a kid once...

i wasn't going to post this but jared was sorely disappointed when he didn't see it up. he's been asking me for days and days...(it's not that i'm not appreciative, just that the pics are grainy and really don't do it justice. and i like to keep the blog mostly about the chillins' and our family events...).

anyway, sweet jared knows i love Jewel, and the company that jared works for had invited her for a private concert (the employees could bring a guest or five). so anyway, of course i loved it; it was soft, romantic and personal. Jewel told us a bit about her life, which just made me love her more. graham colton was quite the treat too, they both sound fabulous live! it was wonderful to get away, just jared and i. this was like jared and i's second time going out(kid free) since "roo the MOOSE" was born. having said that, i suppose this is bloggable material, it may be a while before we are kid free again. lol. oh, and the food was delish too!

i smell a change...in the air

i had a (light) jacket on today...need i repeat? it was fabulous. the air is crisp. the sky is blue. the french fries are warm and i had a jacket on today. it's fall y'all ..er dang near is all i have to say.
oh and also, i walked down the candle aisle at wal-mart yesterday, and you betcha bottom dollar it reeked of pumpkin, spice and everything nice mmm-mm...

ps it's my favorite time of year and mama's gettin' in the kitchen. aromas aromas, it's sweet ain't it? ..apple pie ala-mode anyone...
