just a few pics of JARED gardening ( the babies helped too).
Jared is such a good man. We went and bought some flowers the other day (to spruce up the front) and when we got home Jared was like
"babe, it's too hot for you to be out here sweating and planting, so if it's okay with you...I'll plant them".
only a minor manipulation, he is just like me when it comes to planting...we both like to garden and both dream of having a huge garden to fret over one day.
anyway, i decided i wouldn't fight him over it (partly because he was right, it was like 98 degrees that day) so i just clicked pics of him and the boys instead.
the last one is what the "roo" and I got to do the whole time...grin in the shade :)
.
so who's with me...
a) Jared is fabulous
.
b) anyone else passionate about gardening?
.
c) anyone else have dreams of living in a cottage with ivy, huge gardens, a porch swing, on a lazy summer afternoon visiting with family while the roast is cooking in the crockpot and the apple pies cool in the window seal, kids running wild in the yard while grandma sits in her wicker chair (sunhat perched atop her head), telling us bout' the good ol' day???
oh sorry, total mayberry moment...[but i still crave it]

I love flowers!!! I think I would enjoy planting them here if our yard wasn't full of rocks!! It is sooo hard to dig a hole. Your flowers look Beautiful!! What a sweet husband! I loved you last "BIG" post...where did it go...I didn't get a chance to comment :)

I am so happy to know that someone else dreams the way that I do! I love planting flowers, having green grass, and I dream of having the kind of backyard you described. In Nevada it is really hard to have beautiful flowers in the summer, but I try! So far so good! What a great husband...I love it when Josh does things like that for me! Oh, "roo" is getting so big and soooo cute! I love it!

I LOVE planting flowers!! I can't wait to have a house of my own and totally landscape it. For now I just plan along my house and love it. I have decided that planting flowers and landscaping is like decorating the inside of the house...also an extreme favorite of mine. Yep, I gotta say Jared's a superstar for letting you sit and relax in the shade. What a guy!

Can I be your neighbor in Mayberry? We could have pie baking days and have the men paint the fence (picket of course) and it would just be magical. I really think that would be a great thing, but seriously - it looks like you've already got it!
