the boys and i do "fun craft friday" every friday (within reason), and this one in particular was a blast...mainly because i actually let them do the creative thinking and glue-ing on their own, and yes i removed every article of their clothing (with the exception of underpants)... no, i do not even want play clothes covered with glue in my washing machine
ahem, neurotic yes, but also clean...
anyway, we have been trying to think of fun ways to occupy the boys time and energy over the summer. so...collectively, we decided (after a looonngg debate at Target) that we would raise and release butterflies. our larvae should be coming in the mail soon and we will keep you posted on the progress after the long (lazy, fattening, fabulous) holiday weekend.
anxiously await our return...

I love that idea! I need great ideas for Ty and I to do now that he is getting older. We use to go to the park on Fridays and have playdates, but it is way to hot (like 112) to do that! He likes to swim, but doesn't last too long and it is funner when daddy comes with us! Thanks for the great idea! Happy 4th!
Love the idea! Hmmm, Crafty Fridays...maybe that's something that I need to adopt. The Summer days are soooo loooonnnnngggg. What a cute mommy you are.
I do miss those days when I could get my kids to do things. And your kids are sooo darn cute. In the past, (though I've never done it) I wanted to have certain "craft-type" months and then have a big party at the end. Like a Mexican Month -- you know make pinatas and those shaking musical instruments and then at the end of the month have a big fiesta and then a Hawaiian month -- make grass skirts, make Hawaiian haystacks. Great ideas huh? Just following through is another problem I have. Maybe it's lack of motivation. Sorry, I went off on a tangent AGAIN. Keep up the good work of mothering. You're awesome!
toooooooooo cute!!!! maddie and i do the C-time as well. in fact for her birthday (on friday) i got her all crafts and paints etc. makes my days easier i find...plus i feel like a better mom when she's doing something constructive. i was out shopping tonight and bought finger paints (just saying that makes my breathing labored...but i'm going to try and control my overly neurotic self and give it a try) anyway, the giraffe is my fav. love ya
