"i'm hungry and thirsty, mama"

"okay, what do you want to eat, sambo-namm?"

"a sandwich...and some juice" .."mama, why you makin' me a sandwich?"

"well, because you asked for it buddy" ..and because i love you, little dude"

"yep, uh-huh" *head nodding vigorously...

after conversations like these, i am reminded why i do alot of the things i do of a day ..laundry, wiping of backsides, brushing teeth to a pearly white finish, dishes, batheing, dressing, chasing, fort building, cooking, nose wiping, boo boo kissing, rescuing a prized toy from the 'throws' of the toilet bowl, massaging feet even when i'm convinced mine need it ten times more [a husband-esk request], promising to wake a child when the cookies are done baking if he "accidentally" falls asleep, even though i just brushed those teeth...

why?...love (of course), a deep rich thick unshaken love. that is why.
my heart is all swelled up today, and because of love, i am weepy.

Truly Coty, you always seem to capture my feelings in the simplest, yet most profound way. Love is why most of us do what we do, daily. Thank you!

I was having one of those "why do I do this????" days. I am so happy I stopped by your blog for the gentle reminder that although some days are rough the payoff are huge.

Hey Coty-

It has been so fun to read your comments on my blog, I thought it was about time that I commented on your blog. You are as cute as ever and your kids are so adorable.

Oh and I really like the song that is playing on your blog. Good choice.

So I was catching up on all your blogs! I love state fairs and I must agree the food is the best! I loved the PoPs66 thing...that sounds like a fun place to visit! My husband is in love with Jewel, so I am going to make him really jealous when I tell him you were at a private concert. In fact, Ty is named after her boyfriend (not sure if they got married), Ty Murray! Glad to know that you are enjoying the fall weather! I am sooo jealous! It is still 100 degrees here...someday soon! Your boys are adorable and Rhoane is getting so big! I must agree with you...I love my boys and that is why I do those same things that you mentioned! What a blessing it is to be a mom! I just hope I cherish it as much as I should!
