"Pumpkin patch"

hitched up and headed to the pumpkin patch this weekend. the grider family farm and pumpkin patch is the next town over from my home town; it's huge and beautiful, i love that you can see for miles. the boys had such a blast in the patch itself that we didn't even make it to the corn maze!!! a certain nostalgia came over me seeing the boys out in the country, running on oklahoma's red dirt roads; just as i did growing up. the weather couldn't have been more perfect and the kids more well behaved (well, reasonably so). the boys loved watching the tractors and seeing all the haybales (me too). all in all it was a good time.

ps we got our halloween costumes in the mail this week and i swear it's all i can do to keep the kids from wearing them every second of the day...i have to find a new hiding place hourly and i'm running out of ideas.

Oh I how I miss Oklahoma! The desert just doesn't even come close to the Fall I love and miss in Oklahoma! Looks like the boys had fun...I can't wait for my boys to have fun together like that! I am behind on blogs, but I loved your post of Rhoane...he and Tag are almost the same height and weight. I too love to cuddle with Tag! Love all the fabrics you found and wish I had place to put such cute fall decorations! One day I will have my dream book shelves...for now I will only dream!

I love this time of year! The pictures of your boys running down the dirt road and standing on the metal gate are perfect. They capture the nostalgia of this time of year and the joy of just being a kid. Simple pleasures.

You make me wish I lived in Oklahoma! To my knowledge the only Pumpkin Patch we have is at a local church and it is just tons of pumpkins they sit out all around bales of hay and you pick one out. Not literally pick-they've already been picked. Ohh to have a real pumpkin patch. I feel like Linus in the Peanuts cartoon waiting for the Great Pumpkin or should I say Pumpkin Patch...

I love the pumpkin patch. I hope we can make some time to go this year. Last year we took Luke but I think he would have more fun this year. The boys look like they have a good time no matter what they are doing!
