isn't she beautiful? the location of our future secret garden?...mmmm {view of back of backyard from second story window. the bench has been here since 1938 pretty dilapidated but kinda cool huh?}
anyway, i'm assuming everyone had a fantastic thanksgiving? as there is always alot to be thankful for, do not you agree? i was blessed with the opportunity to visit with lots of family as they were here for the holiday as well as the big move. everyone was so much help. i was dizzy, tired, overwhelmed and thankful for a break. a break with all the fixin's. i stuffed my face. it was delightful. i made my famous maple-pumpkin cheesecake and the best cranberry salad you've ever tasted. i also figured out how to make maple flavored caramels from scratch...delish eh? well, i certainly won't bore you with more details about the huge meal and all the family, stories, visiting with jacobs serious girlfriend, afternoon naps, spinners, shoots and ladders etc. just know i couldn't have asked for a better get together. and this day {as always} brought the overcast blustery beginnings of winter. time to strike up a fire in the fireplace. the ...coming soon... post will include pics of the inside of my home (if you are interested, stop in and take a gander). I also bought new fabric to re fabric my dining room chairs...exciting.
ps i'm thankful for this time on earth, set aside to learn, grow and see the beauty of Heavenly Father's hand in all things
...i'm also thankful for kid feet that still can't touch the ground {among lots of other things}

Your yard is so picturesque. I love the bench, it really is like a secret garden. I love that it has been there for so long. So much charm and character. I have always wanted a home from the 20s or 30s. They just have so much architectural detail. I can't wait to see pictures of the inside of your home. Glad you had a wonderful Thanksgiving.
I can't wait to see the pictures of the inside! The outside looks like it will be so fun!!! Love the colors.
