Bug Party!
on the menu:
burgers, baked beans, chips, mud n' worms, and CAKE!
beetle cake!
after we ate, Roo and the boys played outside with his new ball.
Our neighbors Joy, Jason and Jason Jr. joined us for dinner and celebration.
The boys decided to play with bubbles and sidewalk chalk;
then came the water guns, and water balloons. So eventually, the kids lost their shirts.
time for cake!
Roo got the whole beetle head to himself :)
This is when things got a little messy.....but hey, he was enjoying it;

One day while browsing the aisles at K-mart, Rhoane fell in love with a dinosaur pinata; like a" fit-inducing-when-ya-put-it-back-on-the-shelf " kind of love. So, I snuck it into the cart when he wasn't looking. I figured I'd suprise him with it at his party. He was excited, although I half worried he'd be traumatized when he realized what we were gonna do to the pinata...luckily, he wasn't. He seemed more than pleased to participate in the pinata's demise :) as long as he got first-dibs.
R got a few good whacks in before his brothers got ahold of it.
and then things got a little brutal.
In the end, they claimed their prize, and everyone was content.

looks like a great party! cute cake! it's snowing here today so i'm envying days where you can play with water balloons and little boys running around without shirts. so fun!

What a cute idea for a birthday party! I love it. Can you believe our little ones are already 2 years old? I guess you have more practice with birthdays than I do, but it seems like Samuel is growing up soooo fast. Happy Birthday Rhoane!

Goodness, I can't believe he's two! What a big boy! Your cake is just so darn adorable! I love all the half-naked mowglis running around. I randomly was reminded of Lord of the Flies, lol.
LOL Whitney, we say that ALL the time...Leif is the rotten blonde one...what's his name again? anyway, that seriously made me laugh!
What a fun party! It looks so much warmer there...I am sure you are loving the nice weather...playtime outside is such a great blessing!!

What fun!! It looked like a little bit of heaven for the boys. :) Your little men are sooo handsome...you're gonna have to beat off those girls with bats, I tell 'ya! Your cake was adorable!! I love the theme. :)
