sIn case you couldn't tell, we've been trying to make the most of our time here in PA. We never know when we might have to leave, so we wanted to capitalize on the fact that we are less than a days trip from lots of fun places to visit.
I've always wanted to see Niagara Falls State Park, and knew the kids would think it was cool. So, we figured we'd saddle up our ponies, and head that way! Sure glad we did, it was a really neat sight to see!
Roo spent a lot of his time chasing down these guys. It was funny to watch...
After scoping out the views, we decided to head right down into the falls via the Maid of the Mist boat tour.
What a rush! The mist was amazing; alot of it, too. We were soaked! Of course the boys were in heaven ;)...
Question is...did Adeline enjoy it or not? I'm not sure...think she spent the majority of the time trying to catch her breath in the shock of the cold mist :) the poor dear!
It was nearly impossible to get a good picture of the Falls while on the boat...

Some dude had these shoes on. I thought they rocked! On second thought though, it might bug me to have all my toes seperated with rubber like that...hmmmm.
Anywho. This was a fun time, really great for the kids. It was overcast the day we went, which ended up being perfect temperature wise; all the walking we did would have been miserable in the heat.

I'm sooo jealous. You're right by Carlin's mission and he keeps telling me about it and I keep seeing pictures about it and reading about it and now I sooo want to go! Looks like you had fun, those shoes are awesome!
How wonderful! We lived just a few hours away when we lived in Michigan, but I never made it there. The Applegates came to visit Kit when I was in Ok one trip and they went. In matter of fact, i never made it across the border, either-even though we were 1 hour away and just minutes away when I would visit Kit on the boat...sigh...misses opportunities!
Looks amazing and beautiful. I want to make the most of the places we live, too. I figure if I plan them, they'll happen and I won't miss out again.

I love Niagra Falls! We went there a couple of times when I was growing up in Ohio and it was always a blast. A note on the funny shoes: they are for people who have a theory about walking barefoot, and since you can not go everywhere barefoot, they wear these. I have a friend and her husband just finished medical school and is huge into these and having his family barefoot as much as possible. I think the book that inspired the movement is Running Barefoot, or something like that. They are strange looking though!

I love that you guys just up and go exploring with all four kids. We love that too. And I LOVED niagra too. You get way more pictures of trips than us though. Somehow we always forget our camera. I'm jealous!
