school

cute new kicks, huh!

my munchkins started school this past week. Leif is in kindergarten and Sam is in Pre-K.
all i can say is the house was a-buzz with excitement the night before school. you woulda sworn it was Christmas eve. the boys stayed up yammering until 10:30PM!!! I was not a happy momma, but what do you do? i even skipped quiet time earlier that day, just to get them nice and tired -no such luck.

when i went to pick sammy up from school (11:00am) the first words out of his mouth were..

"that mean girl said her backpack was WAYYY cooler than mine...but i told her nuh-uh... cause her's had barbie on it"....

greeeat. -THAT'S the first thing my kid thinks to tell me about his first day at school??? all i kept thinking was "this is gonna be a looong year"...

you won't even believe me when i tell you that is almost verbatim what my son leif said as soon as he bounded out to the car...only the mean girl in his class completed her backpack insult by smacking him across the head with her "purse backpack"...

*sigh*

and so it begins... the never ending battle to impress the girls...and to no avail. poor guys ;)

other than that, school has gone smashing-ly so far. and it's nice to get some one on one time with R before baby #4 gets here!

It never goes the way you'd expect, does it? I love that their backpacks are bigger than them...

Oh, and if a girl hits you, doesn't that actually mean that she likes you? Try telling that to your boys... ewww gross! Those nasty girls! :) I asked Nathan if he played with the girls at school... "NO! We just chase them."

Aha! Such funny stories!! I am always a little nervous and anxious about what they are going to say went on during the day. Ahhhh, the joys of mommyhood. :)
Your boys are too darn cute. I love their little outfits and their shoes are too cool. Love 'em.
I feel your pain about Jared being gone. It's stinks. I hope he isn't gone too long. I guess absence makes the heart grow fonder...
btw...your sweet baby's name is ad-or-able!! I love it!! Leave it to you to come up with a fabulous name. Maybe you can get a pin made up to wear that says "yep, I'm THAT fabulous!!". :)

That's too funny because Brice said there were mean kids fighting and he was fighting back. I never know what is true when he tells story though. He can be quite a talker. The next day he said we sang songs and the girls were crying. He always tells me such great information. lol.
