New patio set and some grilling...

Jared grills a mean burger. We had the privilege of eating said burgers while chillaxin' on our new patio set. Score. We've only been looking for a patio set for FOR-EV-ER! Glad we found one, and on sale to boot. Evenings outside are the best, yeah? Especially during the summer months. Now pictures.

Finished the night with rootbeer floats and some scripture stories. Everyday happiness. The best kind.

Girls Camp 2014

Not sure if I've ever blogged it but, I am working on my second year as Young Women's president of the Southglenn ward, and it's so-much-fun! We have a great group of valiant beautiful girls, 14 of which are Beehives! Oh the are my little nuggets, I love them so.  Anyway,  this past week was Stake Girls Camp; "more men! more men!  sing it again!"  Because that never gets old, right?  The girls enjoyed some rough hiking, intricate ropes courses and a lot of fun memory making. I didn't take many pics, but I will attempt to load them along with a few videos of all 82 girls doing the camp dance.. love that tradition, don't you?

Op, I guess the blogger app doesn't allow video posts. Boo.  It was such a cute dance too. Well, until next year!

Campin'

Colorado camping is unlike any camping I did growing up. I absolutely love it. The weather is so crisp here, especially up in the mountains, it feels like fall time. I am a sucker for the smell of pine too, and lucky for me, it's in abundance.  We took last weekend's amazing forecast as a sign that we needed to pack up and head out! So glad we did.  We ended up finding a beautiful large area with a lovely overlook... and totally scored by being the only ones in the vicinity! What? That just doesn't happen.  The rest is self explanatory; fires, s'mores, morning sun, crisp breeze, happy kids, and all while appreciating Heavenly Father's beautiful terrain.  We also tried pie irons for the first time, and as a result ate some amazing grill cheese sandwiches -Hollah! We'll have to try pizza sandwiches next time ;)

My favorite is peaceful mornings at camp: I love the way the sun beams through the pines with the evening's chill still hanging in the air,  bacon simmers over an open flame and the birds sing. Yep, that's pretty much my Kolob right there ;)
